My 6yo grandson has been using a Fire for a couple years now; and before that, an iPod touch. He got indoctrinated at the age of two. Last BF, I got him a 1st gen HD 7 when they went on sale for $100. I put it in an OtterBox case. So no upgrade this year.
It's never too early to get kids started on tech devices.
