Unfortunately, the distribution network is way too complex to apply that kind of strict fairness. That would take a single queue and these shipments are being staged at facilities all over the place. So there maybe a queue at each distribution center but I think a lot depends on what's going on in your region and how many orders that center is processing. There were people who ordered the same day as I did and got it yesterday but they were in a different part of the country. I'm supposed to get mine today. There are also some people who are not getting them on time. I wouldn't assume that just because there may be a delay at one center that there will be delays at all centers. Amazon also has no way of controlling the packages once they're handed off to UPS or FedEx. If there's a slowdown going through one of their facilities, that has jack all to do with Amazon.
