Anyone getting a shipping date on their K3? - Page 26

I ordered the WiFi only Graphite and a lighted case on Aug 2 at 1 pm eastern time. The case was shipped yesterday. According to tracking it was processed at Phoenix at 8:14 pm last night, arrived in Louisville, KY at 2 am (?) and arrived in Mississauga (ie Toronto airport) at 7 am. Someone will be knocking on my door later today.

In the meantime, overnight, the Kindle 3 itself has shifted to "shipping soon" status which means it's almost certain to be delivered on Monday -- one (shipping) day after the original release date. I mention this because I missed the original batch trachne which was cut off Aug 1 at 8 pm Pacific time, apparently.

(And, the credit card charge has gone through.)

So happy days ... !

We're in exactly the same boat! Except I think I was like 7pm on Aug 2.

I ordered at 1:00 on August 2nd. Status of Wi-Fi only is now shipping soon, can't cancel and card charged. Expected delivery is the 30th.

However, case shows expected shipping date of Aug 31st. Edit: Now also shows shipping soon.

I think this is the better way to have it go if I can only get one early.

It's nice to know you are all getting your kindles, over in the UK they haven't managed to ship 30th July orders yet

Had a slight panic for a moment when my Open Orders page on Amazon UK went blank, but that's because it has moved to 'Orders Placed in the last 30 days' and is showing as Despatched with a delivery date of tomorrow. I ordered 29th July.

Crap! My estimated delivery date just went from August 30 to "Not yet shipped. We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item. It will ship separately. You can cancel at any time."

Oh, well.

ordered july 28 ... still not shipped. i can cancel it. called CS and was told it's first come first shipped. i commented that people who ordered after me already have theirs and told them i've had a few experiences with Amazon not shipping something until I've called to complain. I was told to be patient and if it hasn't shipped by mid-september to call back then. really really unimpressed.

It should be on a first come first served basis. The way the devices have been shipping is not fair at all.

I ordered mine on the 2nd August but now am not expecting it to be dispatched by the promised date of september the 4th, with the way things are going.

Oh, well.

Me too on my August 20th order. I knew it was a bug in their software, but I had to hope!!!

My late August 1st order finally went to Shipped (27th) and it estimated for the 30th via ONTRAC, a shipping company I've never heard of before (and hasn't gotten good reviews

)

Seriously!! That is rather absurd! I would like to think that the CS rep was just having a really bad day and if you called again, you would get a better response. But that doesn't excuse that initial response! Don't they know you are close enough to come beat on their doors!
