You should have applied for that job - if you didn't anyway

Yups. One company I worked for gave out a bonus at around Christmas time to those who had performed well. They also had a party. The only December I was there, two people didn't get a bonus - myself and one other (let's call her Gail, if only because I can't remember her real name). That year, two people didn't get the bonus. That would be myself and Gail. (To my intense disappointment they caught wind of serious trouble that was heading towards them, wound up the company and vanished - this was nothing to do with the bonus, though)

My sister's stupid, antisurvival beliefs.
I love her so much.
But she is a total doormat.

Well, actually, he can break the law if he's prepared to take the consequences for getting caught doing so (if he gets caught). Usually it's not a course of action I'd recommend though (although some situations... maybe)

the "your Dad is actively dying" call from the hospice nurse came during the meeting leaving many issues still open.
Urgh - very bad timing.

How old's your daughter?

What KK said. If she won't do it for herself, try and at least get her to do it for her children. I'm sure she can square it with her belief in karma somehow - helping it along a little, maybe

It will be handled. The right way.
And may involve spade work.
If you can dig it.

I have around 4 or 5 holes ready just in case...
