Convert eBook to Zip via Command Line Interface
Using the command line interface "ebook-convert", is it possible to set the output a 'zip'?
Thank you, Bill Seabrook |

A .zip file not an ebook format so probably not. OTOH, an epub is already a .zip file so a simple rename will work.

Both conversion via the calibre GUI and the ebook-convert CLI allow ZIP as an output format.
This is called "HTML Output" internally. It produces a ZIP file containing both an HTML file and a folder with the book's resources. Once unzipped, the HTML file in the root can be opened using a web browser in order to read the book. |

I often the GUI convert to zip when I want to remove watermarks from pdf books. The result (when un-zipped) create a directory/folder contains files without the watermark. Will ebook-convert file.whatever file.zip produce the same result?

Why not try it and see.
Additionally if the watermark is a DRM marking, please don't ask for help here. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk |
