Kindle Conversions

When I use Calibre to Save a Single Format to Disk and select the AZW option, the save runs and my selected folder opens, but there is nothing in the folder.
Is there something else I need to do to save to .azw All other tested formats seem to work as expected.

Kindle conversions are in MOBI format not AZW.
