UK Charging Cable
Hi,

I want to get a spare USB charging cable for my PRS-505. I've read that some cables don't work (because they don't have all the pins attached) so I was wondering if someone could recommend a source for a cable that they have used successfully. I'm based in the UK.

AFAIK, any modern USB cable should work fine.

I just used to pull out any old USB cable I had in my drawer and never had one that would not charge my 505 or my 300.

Same here, each and every USB-cable I tried worked for me so far.

True - any standard mini USB cable should work fine.

Please note, though, that it will only charge from a PC - not from a USB wall charger.

You might be better getting a cheap mains cable - I got one from Argos that will not only charge my Sony PRS-300 but also my partners DS Lite (and other hand held consoles) for £4.99. Details here
