Question Already downloaded books on kindle?
Hi All,

I have a question about the Amazon Kindle.
I have on my computer some, already downloaded, books in different formats.
Is there a way to transfer my books to the Kindle?

I can't find it...
Not here or at Amazon...

Please help!

Download and install Calibre. Convert your books to Mobi format. Copy them on to your Kindle.

Can't Amazon put up a link for Calibre, as Calibre has an option for Kindle, or would that be a conflicting interest?

The smat move by Amazon would be to purchase Calibre, have it oriented towards converting only inot MOBI, including other DRMed formats like ePub and PDF. Then let people run it through their servers so they can keep track of what books are bought outside Amazon. But maybe we should keep quiet about that, eh?

That would ruin it. How fast do ya think updates would take place. Every six months?
