Free from B&N, Amazon: Buddha by Deepak Chopra

Right now, B&N and Amazon are both offering free copies of Buddha by Deepak Chopra. This edition also includes a preview of Muhammad: A Story of the Last Prophet, which will be coming out on 21 September of this year.

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Buddha-With-Bo...4231124&sr=8-2

B&N: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...=9780062062635

Here's the synopsis from B&N:
"Deepak Chopra brings the Buddha back to life in this gripping New York Times bestselling novel about the young prince who abandoned his inheritance to discover his true calling. This iconic journey changed the world forever, and the truths revealed continue to influence every corner of the globe today.

A young man in line for the throne is trapped in his father's kingdom and yearns for the outside world. Betrayed by those closest to him, Siddhartha abandons his palace and princely title. Face-to-face with his demons, he becomes a wandering monk and embarks on a spiritual fast that carries him to the brink of death. Ultimately recognizing his inability to conquer his body and mind by sheer will, Siddhartha transcends his physical pain and achieves enlightenment.

Although we recognize Buddha today as an icon of peace and serenity, his life story was a tumultuous and spellbinding affair filled with love and sex, murder and loss, struggle and surrender. From the rocky terrain of the material world to the summit of the spiritual one, Buddha captivates and inspires ultimately leading us closer to understanding the true nature of life and ourselves."
Quick, grab a copy before they change their minds!

Muhammad: A Story of the Last Prophet is actually already out on Kindle, for those interested. It's a bit pricy at $12.99 though.

Thanks for the update! Yeah, now that I look at it, Muhammad is already for sale in ebook form at B&N as well. What I should have said is that the paper version will be released on 21 September. But who here would be interested in that?

Thanks for the info. This finally got me to download the Kindle app for iPod, although I must say the blurb doesn't sound very inviting, to my taste. But it's a blurb, not the book itself, so maybe it's worth a try.

Well I was hoping it would be DRM free since it was a freebie, but it wasn't -- I had to do the hoochy-choochy and get it in Calibre for conversion..

Looks very interesting!

The B&N version is geographically restricted to the US, right?
