Silly things I keep doing with my K3

Graduating from a K1 to a new K3 has taken some adjustment. Some things I still haven't completely learned.

A + Aa doesn't bring the K3 out of screen saver mode

The d-pad doesn't act as a scroll wheel whichever way you try and roll it

There actually isn't a Whispernet switch on the back of the K3, no matter how much to search for it. Just did that one about 2 minutes ago.

I've also picked up the K1 a couple times, opened it, and stared at it, knowing something wasn't right, before remember "Oh yeah, Kindle 3."

Well there are obviously more differences between a K1 and a K3 but even upgrading from a K2i I find myself going to the top of the K3 to switch it on/off but the power button is now at the bottom ...

Habits die hard.

Well, I've upgraded from physical books; I keep trying to turn the pages by lifting up the corner.

I never had a K before 3, but I wish they hadn't moved the placement of the switch. I rest mine on its bottom and keep accidentally putting it to sleep when I move around.

I had mine for a few days now and the thing I do the most is forgetting its not touch screen and try to turn the page by touching screen as per my Archos 5.

I tend to read mine with my legs tucked as the side of me whilst sitting in a chair, with my Kindle on my lap, and haven't had any problems with it going into sleep.

I keep tapping the screen, despite the fact I do not have any touchscreen devices other than my BlackBerry Storm!

I moved from the K1 to the DXG. It has been over a month and I am still reaching for the whispernet switch on the back of the DXG. I have to remind myself that it is in the menu area. I found that the joystick was pretty easy to adjust to so I have not been missing my rollarball although I do miss the little silvery window and the square that rotates while the Kindle is processing.

I've had my K2 for almost two years (and used ereader software on a pda long before that) and I still find my doing this!

Good to know I'm not the only one.

I've had my K2 for almost two years, and a K1 before that .... and when I read a paperback, I keep pressing the side of the page and waiting for it to turn itself.
