Hi everyone!

I'm new here and just wanted to say a quick hello. The other day I bought a month old Kobo Reader. Looking forward to using this on vacation so I don't end up hauling around a bunch of dead trees

I'm a terrible sports fan, but my girlfriend works part time in the concession stands at the Lion's new temporary home called Empire Field while BC Place gets a new roof.

Trying to read through the posts about the Kobo reader right now - at least while it is quiet at work.

Thanks for the additional welcomes! This is a really friendly forum.

So far I like my Kobo a lot. I've had it freeze on me a few times and twice it has killed the battery - I guess while in a "hung" state, it uses power at a higher rate because when I tried to start it up the next day it needed charge before it would even respond.

I've found that it I don't shut it down when I am finished reading for the night, it puts itself to sleep and then powers down properly. Enough about that... have to do some work!
