Highlight while reading with Calibre

Hi,

Is it possible to highlight text while reading ebooks with calibre?

if not, then can developer add this feature. It will be so cool!!!

No it's not. Adding support for annotations (including highlighting) is on the todo list.

Can I second the interest in this task? my primary use for my reader is highlighting/annotating journal articles. I hate the Sony interface, but I must be able to access my notes.

I know you are busy, this is free software, etc. But, given that calibre is awesome, and you are awesome, I thought I would beg

Now that we have synchronization for last page read between the Amazon Kindle 3 (which is what I have) and Calibre, it would be *REALLY* nice to have highlights flow back and forth between my hardware Kindle 3 and Calibre.

I am looking for a tool that will allow me to highlight and notate my ebooks on all my devices (phone, nook, AND online/web based) and have that info synced. Bonus would be the web-based part so you can use it on computers where you don't have admin rights to install software.

calibre looks to be the best application i have found to incorporate these kind of features.

keep up the good work, you have an awesome app already.

i will be patiently watching and waiting
