Does anyone know what an old newspaper service for Palm phones was called?

I'd tried to find it through Google, but have failed and so I assume they went out of business, but there used to be a service that could load newspapers on your Palm or Pocket PC device. It had a weird name, something vaguely akin to Alta Vista (I know that's an old search engine), but it's driving me crazy since I can't remember what the place was called. They had desktop software and software that had to be loaded on your Palm device. If anyone knows what the place is called, it's just annoying the heck out of me because it's on the tip of my tongue and I can't seem to remember what it is. I was mostly curious to find out if they'd ever updated to allow reading on e readers, but like I said, can't find it now.

Thanks for any info.

Yup. That was it. Thanks. It's been driving me crazy trying to remember what it was called. Edit: And as I suspected, they went out of business (well, bought by Sybase and no longer doing what they did, so they may as well have gone out of business, though the company still exists in some form).

I used Avantgo for a long time. Their "channels" were essentially RSS feeds. I use the FreeRange RSS reader on my BlackBerry, and the experience is exactly the same except for wireless now vs. connected sync then. That's why they're no longer around.

I'm using Calibre for it. I just remembered them from my days with a Palm. I think it was an M100. And that was technically my first ebook reader. When I got the new one, I had started looking for it, wondering if they were still around. . .
