Removing search criteria on softrooted Nook

I have to admit that I feel really dumb asking this question. I am absolutely convinced that there is something very simple that I am overlooking but I certainly can't find it.

I have a Nook that I softrooted. I go into My Library and open the search option and enter something. That works fine. Question - how do I get rid of the search criteria I entered. When I look at the search again it shows empty but if I enter another criteria it just adds it to the first one. I have tried backspace keys, delete keys, cancel, submit blank criteria etc. So far the only thing that works is powering off the entire device and then waiting while it scans all my folders (I have a large library on the Nook) when it starts up. I am sure there is a better way. Has someone found it?? ..................Jackie

Just hit the back button and it will go back to the main listing.

OK so maybe this is where I wish we could hide messages in this thread so no-one else see this. I just kept retrying from the main menu. Thanks.

BTW - I just told a friend to hold off buying the Nook until he found out if the new ones can be softrooted. Instead of making it more difficult B&N should be supporting this code. It is the only way to use the Nook that makes sense when you sideload all your books.

Thanks again..............Jackie

I had the exact same problem a few days ago. Took me a while to figure out that back button.
