Which ereader is easy on the fingers?
Hi:
I currently use a Sony PRS 505 which I really like (screen size, readability) and would not think about changing except that I read so much that my finger gets cramped from turning pages. I'm thinking of trying the new Kindle or a Nook but I wanted to get some thoughts as to whether the new Kindle or the Nook have easier page turning abilities. My sister in law says the Nook is very sensitive for page turning, a little too sensitive for her. Any thoughts/suggestions? Do you think I'd find the Kindle to be an improvement in page turning and not a step backwards in other ways? I'm leaning towards the Kindle from what I've read on the forums here. Thanks. |

From what I seen on the Kindle 3 the buttons seem very easy to press compared to most, look up a vid...seems like it might be your best bet at a good price.

In addition to using page turn buttons, the Nook allows you to turn pages by running your finger along touchscreen. It works well. I don't really use it, but a lot of people seem to like it.

The new Sony Reader PRS-650 (due out later this year maybe October) will be easier on the fingers then any of the non-touch screen readers.

yes the nook would be the easiest on your fingers since it's does have a nice finger swipe page turning feature.

Price may also be a factor. For example, if Sony were to retain their current pricing levels, they'd struggle to compete with the likes of the nook and Kindle.
