Source of free woodcut and engraving books for Kindle?
Hi everyone,
While many people seem to hate Amazon's stock screensavers, I like them a lot - and I like most the old "gravures" - Erasmus, the fish list, the birds... I think the eink screen displays woodcuts, engravings and similar monochrome prints very nicely. Holbein's Dance of death, for instance, is only $0.99 on the store: http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Death-Ro.../dp/0486228045 but it is available for free somewhere: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/21790 Anyone knows other specific sources? thanks! |

Sorry - I was going to suggest Gutenberg too so I don't know anywhere else you mght get them.
I'd like to know too actually as I also really like them. |
