Thanks for the reminder!
So far, between this and the 4th of July "All-American" and the NookStudy Starter Kit promos, we're up to 87 offered thus far, and we've gotten nice annotated editions of the complete available B&N works of Jane Austen, all three Brontë sisters, D. H. Lawrence, Edith Wharton, and 8 other authors with at least two books each. And they've put more of their classics into e-book form. There were only about 149 when the promo started, but now they're up to 183. 16 more to go, and they'll have the entire set digitized. Too bad they don't seem to be producing any new titles in the series. With 3 weeks with left to go, and only a possible 15 repeats from previous promotions remaining, we should get at least 21 new titles for a minimum total of 108. Hopefully they've got some nifty themes for the next few sets, and are planning future B&N Classics promos for stuff like Hallowe'en and Banned Books Week and Black History Month and so forth. Thanks again for the reminder. Just read through a lot of the Poe one and love the way B&N does these classics.

So, I just imported this week's books into Calibre...Bleak House is 13mb! I think that is one of the overall largest ebook files I have. Period! I haven't opened it yet, but 13mb! Most of my other epub files hover between 0.5 and 1 mb!

Bleak House is also illustrated (by "Phiz" from the serialized version), as is Vanity Fair (author's own sketches taking it to 22 mb). Interestingly enough, the .pdb versions weigh in at 4 and 8 mb respectively. Though maybe .pdb has a lower file/pixel-size limit for graphics.
