Nemoptic says our e-paper is better than others
![]() Last week, Nemoptic CTO Jacques Angele was interviewed by a French newssite, and he said that his company was about to enter the e-book market with the Sylen reader (see photo). While I don't know anything about this reader, I found on their website (here and here (PDF)) that back in 2003, there was another reader supposedly launched with BiNem technology in partnership with Taiwanese Picvue. Do you know more? |

Is it just the American in me or does everytime the French come out with something they think it's better then everyone else's?
Just to be anti-French for a sec, maybe they can do better? After all they had a lot of practice making white backgrounds. ![]() BTW: Hadrian is cool, feedbooks was a great idea. |

Well they are still trying to build a Google clone, only better. Time will tell
![]() Regarding the BiNem display... I think it's good that we see more and more competitors of E Ink announcing their displays. Competition is good for the business, and at the end we, the customers, will only gain through it ![]() |

Totally Gallic! As usual they appear not looking further than their noses!
![]() The design is too thick and looks cheap. I would'nt want having to carry it around. It looks more like a game player and the bezel around it is too thick. The page bar is on the left. Why are all companies doing this? Don't they read paper? Everyone turns pages with the right hand! Does anyone know someone with both arms who turns pages with the left hand? ![]() |

My version is: the pun is the lowest form of humor and the highest use of a lanuage. You don't really grok a language until you can pun in it. I'm just demonstrating my linguistic prowess. (hoowaa.)
