Shipping timeframe for new EZreader?

Hi everyone!
I believe this is my first post, although I have been checking this forum once in a while for at least a year. And I have a question.

As soon as I noticed EZreader Plus was for sale on Astak.com, I went ahead and bought it. It was 8pm Eastern time, August 10. I got the transaction receipt right away, and haven't heard anything since then. I was expecting a shipping confirmation by now, since this is not a pre-order and there is no indication that item is out of stock. They did charge my credit card, which would normally mean that the stuff is shipped... but who knows. I paid for 2 day shipping.

So, my question is, do they send shipping confirmation/tracking number once they ship the unit, or not? If they do, then there is a question for Jenifer, when should I expect the unit to be shipped?

I got a call this morning from Astak support asking for my cc info in order to replace my PPro broken screen. She indicated that once it shipped, I would receive a tracking number, so I would assume new orders would get the same courtesy.

I was kinda of wondering, myself, regarding any shipping delays. Problem with asking for "2-day" or "next-day" shipping is that it is next- or 2-days after they finally toss it out on the sidewalk to be picked up (not literally, of course).

I have been waffling between a nook and a PLUS (so I can be assured of at least one working ereader on hand) for a variety of reasons, but not knowing when the units would actually ship, it was hard to know if my repaired unit or a new unit would arrive first, and whether either one would arrive before I left on my next vacation.

Btw, folks, having found that the nook battery life is apparently measured in (10-15) hours, not days, the PLUS is looking a LOT better. I guess the nook will last for the advertised 10 days if you turn it completely off between uses, but I'm kinda spoiled from being able to take the PPro to Hawaii for 10 days (standby between reads). I only charged it before getting on the plane home because being down to the last bar made me nervous. Since then, I have found I can use it down to no bars, and for almost 2 hours after it starts TELLING me the battery is low.

I just spoke with our support team about this. If you send your transaction number and name to support@astak.com, I just informed our tech to write you back right away with the shipping information.

We usually ship orders within 24-48 hours (with the exception of the weekend), and UPS sends the tracking number via email to our customers. One of my team members just told me that a lot of times, these emails are marked as 'junk' or 'spam', which can be annoying.

You should definitely receive something, and we will be waiting for your email at support!

Speaking from the perspective of Jenifer "Jenifer" not Jenifer "PR", I've heard from Nook users that there is still a burn-out problem with the screen, or whatever the name is for words still being stuck on screen when a page is turned. That and the pointless lower display. And I do really appreciate leaving my PPro on all the time and just picking it up like a regular book. My battery has only died once, and it was so shocking I asked the tech if my device broke.

I personally own a Kindle and a PPro. My rank of eBook readers are:
1. PPro
2. Kindle (which I no longer use, but prefer to Nook)
3. Nook.

to eGeezer - Nook was out of the question for me, it does not support Russian. Kindle now does, but I don't feel like converting all my books to txt because they don't support RTF. So, EZreader it is

Yay, I got email from support with the tracking number! I will be getting my EZreader tomorrow! It was shipped yesterday!
