Yesterday 157 non-PD books were showing as free in the UK Kindle store, today there are just 7 . Hopefully that number will increase slightly again, though many people did say they thought it was an error on Amazon's behalf there being so many freebies. Hopefully those who managed to get the additional titles for free will get to keep them. |

I grabbed a couple that were free yesterday, but not today. It seems I can still download them, so not only not wiped but also available on other instances of Kindle apps

Dang, that's too bad. I hope folks grabbed some free goodies while they could.

I looked, but there was nothing which interested me at all. Seemed to be largely Canadian "self-help" type books.

Yeah, I have to say it was a really odd selection for the UK bookstore. I never knew all you Brits were so interested in all that is Canada.

The weather and Canada is pretty much all we talk about in the UK although the more daring amongst us will sometimes talk about the weather in Canada (but only in hushed tones). I grabbed around 30 books from the original 150 so I was extremely chuffed. One of them I was planning to buy at some point and most of the rest I would definitely read. Only a few were on the well-it-would-be-rude-not-to list. |
