It would be a useful feature to add to iTunes on a PC or Mac.

If you have books already on Calibre, you can read them anytime without tethering your device. Of course, Calibre won't read DRM protected files as that is proprietary to the book seller and book publisher. Last edited by MsAstoria; 08-08-2010 at 11:23 AM. |

Yes, there are, but please don't ask for them here at MR. It is against forum policy to either ask for, or provide, detailed assistance with DRM removal.

A Google search for "Apprentice Alf" may lead to enlightenment.

I have been trying to buy that hard-to-find book “How to Break DRM for Dummies.” It is the one that comes with the accompanying CD containing programs, scripts, links and a list of reasonably priced defense attorneys.

![]() and from what I have read, publishers are changing up DRM all the time so staying current would be challenging. |

There is work being done on the fairplay DRM being used for iBooks ePub. But, it's not there yet. So for now, there is no way to remove the DRM. The solution is to not buy any book via iBooks.
