How does calibre get webcontent for subscription sites

I subscribe to several publications (e.g. New York Times, Economist) which require logins on their websites to access full content.

I'm intrigued by Calibre's feature to go out and get that content and put it onto my kindle as an e-book.

I watched the demo, but didn't see how/if Calibre would use my login credentials to get this info.

Sorry for the newbie question and thanks for help!

If the recipe is getting content that needs a subscription, then you will be asked to provide your login details.

FYI, there are a few recipes that work better with logins, but don't require them. An invalid user/pass will still work. There are some other recipes that ask for user/pass, but work fine with any user/pass to produce the same results. AFAIK, however, these are only recipes for sites that offer free registration, not paid subscription sites.

Itimpi: Thanks for the quick reply. One clarification: Does Calibre auotomate this and store my login credentials? I ask because my main interest is to set it up to download publications on a set schedule and automatically send them to kindle. It is less interesting for me if it needs to be a manual process.

Thanks again for your help!

I'm not itimpi, but the answer is "Yes" - it stores your credentials.
