Can I read on with a dead battery ...
... in plugging the AC charger to my PRS-500 or will I kill the reader with this on the long run? Dead means that recharging has almost no effect anymore. I fear that recharging a dead battery might cause it to leak sooner or later.

I'd like to survive with the reader until a nice 6" or 7" Pearl non-Kindle display is available.
