Other pen
Can someone point me to a pen that can be used comfortably with the edge, because the wacom penabled clip pen doesn't seem to be made anymore (I can't find it anymore here in Europe).
thanks |

Read through this thread for various suggestions: http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/...-with-the-eDGe. Towards the end of the thread, several people recommend the pens from Motion Computing. Also, a pen from any tablet PC/laptop should work (as long as the tablet/laptop screen isn't capacitive).

borisb --- that's not quite right. A pen from any Tablet PC / laptop which uses a compatible Wacom digitizer will work --- there were a couple which used different (non capacitive) technologies such as Finepoint's which won't work.
One can dismantle a Wacom pen and place the electronics in a different housing though, but I'd suggest only doing that w/ a spare pen which one is willing to potentially sacrifice (they're a bit fragile and the tolerances are close). William |

I ordered this pen from eBay. Still waiting for it to arrive to Canada, but I have another motion computing pen (less fancy - just a stick) that works just fine. I wanted something that felt more like a good pen, though. This was the only place I could find it for shipping to Canada.

The entourage message boards are down right now, but someone there also described a modification they used to essentially put the entire, regular stylus *inside* the barrel of a larger pen. You might also consider a "pencil extender" (something drafters/artists use to put very small, worn down pencils into so they can continue to be used comfortably) to see whether the entire stylus can fit nicely inside one of those.
But to report back on the Motion Computing pen I ordered off of eBay, it's excellent. |
