Books-On-Demand Printing Machine
Not exactly an ebook device, but somewhat related. Something I've been wondering about for a long time....

I thought I had seen one about a year or two ago that they claimed was going to be in the $10,000-20,000 range with a library of books behind it. But it was too complicated for customers to use. You had to have trained book producers at a store.
This one seems to be $50,000 per Engadget's article, but is supposed to end up in the NY Public Library in Feb, and can do two books in 7 mins. Pretty impressive! |
