New OLED iPads To Target eReader Market?

There are a bunch of rumors on the Net about Apple having ordered new OLED screen for two new iPad models to be released in this year's fourth quarter. The new 5.6 and 7-inch screens would seem to directly target the Kindle, Nook, Kobo and other dedicated ereaders. Apple considered OLED technology for the new iPhone 4 but did not go that route. According to Digitimes web site though Apple has already pre-ordered these OLED screens. I wonder if Apple can pull this one off?

There's a video of some new, flexible OLED screens posted over on http://www.joyofipad.com as well as more information. I tried to post the video here in this message too but darned if I can figure out how to do that!

Anyway, it looks like Steve Jobs is still trying to take an even bigger bite from the marketplace. Think he'll choke??

No need for that. If you missed the news thread, then other people probably did too, and having a pointer to it is always useful.
