				Ipad and Googlebooks PDF

I am considering buying an Ipad but have some questions. Can you go directly to google and download one of the free pdfs and view it with goodreads? Given that these are large image only files, are the page turns quick or slow?

Thanks in advance for your help. Aleks |

I'm not a big GoodReader user, but I just went to Google Books, clicked on The Arabian Nights, and it downloaded it fine in Goodreader. Page turns are decent considering they are all image files.

I download the google pdfs directly into goodreader. Then I crop all the wasted space with the crop function in goodreader and use the two page layout to make a nice looking two page view. Once goodreader has a chance to start indexing ahead of you the pages load fairly quickly.

Also, if you don't mind an extra step-you can download the files to Dropbox or iDisk-which will let you send the PDF to iBooks, Stanza, Cloudreaders, Goodreader, or any other PDF reader on the iPad that registers the filetype correctly.
