Classic Sony Epub on Nook?

Can anyone tell me how to open my Sony epub files on a nook? All my account log ins are the same email and my Sony content opens in Adobe Digital Editions. But when I put it on the nook and attempt to open it I get "User not activated"

It seems that Sony to Nook is ok. I have tried the other way and it definitely doesn't work. I believe B&N are using your account name and credit card to unlock content.

So even using the same email etc. for all accounts it won't work. One of the reasons I liked the Sony was because it was more open than say a Kindle or Nook when it comes to paid for content.

Interestingly I downloaded one of the free B&N books to celebrate the 4th of July and they are DRM'd as well even though they are all PD stuff.

On the mac I need to plug in (mount) the nook before opening Adobe Digital Editions. I think the first time I launched ADE with the nook mounted ADE asked if I wanted to authorize the nook with my email address.

After your nook is recognized by ADE and authorized, import the Sony epubs into Adobe Digital Editions. Then, drag them to the nook.

For some reason it had not authorized correctly on my Windows 7 laptop. I deleted the Adobe files and repeated the authorization on an XP machine. Now it works. Thanks.
