PRS-505 Bricked 505

Ｉhave tried all ways I can find (such as https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Sony...der#Hard_Reset) and still cannot make the bricked 505 back to life. After resetting, it still shows 4 books available, and also shows there is a collection.

No matter which button I pressed, it always shows an icon on bottom right corner.

Most likely guru will suggest to delete some files/configurations directly on the reader but I am not one of them. Let's wait and see.

Good to have your new company, Myu -- but sorry to hear about your problem. I have a 505, too, but I ain't the guru Astra promised. I'm sure one of our more technically inclined pals will be able to help soon. Good luck and best wishes. Neil

Try connecting it to your PC and formating the internal memory drive. (save valuable stuff from it first)

When I connect 505 to PC, no response at all.

I have to restart 505, and connect it to PC when "starting up" shows up. Only through this way, my PC recognizes 505.

Firmware is 1.1.00.18040 (latest one)
