PB 301+ has 14.2, should I go to 15.1/15.2?
I just received my PB 301+ from emini_guy at the Flea Market: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86057

It's currently running firmware version 14.2. I have downloaded 15.1 already from http://www.pocketbookreader.com/ (which has a VERY confusing, cluttered download page), but I am not sure where to get 15.2. I have read on these forums that there is a 15.2. Should I upgrade my PB 301+ to either 15.1 or 15.2? What's strange is the PocketBookReader website says 14.2 is a "test" (beta?). Are there any non-test firmware releases?

I should add that I am pleased with my PB and 14.2. I have not experienced any problems at all.

For the 301+ the 15.2 seems pretty stable.
You get it here

After install u maybe have to switch to english language again, check where the menu is before updating

15.1 is the most unstable, so stay with 14.2 or take 15.2

Thank you, Schnitzelbrain. I will try 15.2 out and if I don't like it I can roll back to 14.2. I really appreciate your input.

Hey guys, sorry I didn't get back in time to reply with the Russian server's link. Glad it got worked out.

I'm running 15.2 now and it seems just fine. Can't tell a difference between 14.2 and 15.2, actually. Sure wish I could find a changelog to see what has been updated with the new firmware.

I downloaded the 15.2 last night, and it seemed to work fine from the US site.

I followed the link that did not work, and erased everything but: http://pocketbook-global.com/

Then I chose my country: http://www.pocketbook-usa.com/

Then I chose support: http://www.pocketbook-usa.com/support/

Then I chose Pocketbook 301: http://www.pocketbook-usa.com/support/pocketbook-301/

There you will find working downloads =)...

Is There a 15.3 Beta for 301?
I read here that the developers are starting from "scratch" building a new[ second try] 15.3 for the 360. I am using 15.2 with very infrequent problems and no crashes, resets. lockups etc. I am curious however about what 15.3 will be like for the 301. Is there a 15.3 beta for 301? If so, does it have new capabilities or just improved stability features?

When I searched on "15.3" or "firmware +"15.3" in the Pocketbook sub-forum, I did not get any results. I guess that I encountered a limitation of the tool - or maybe there hasn't been and postings using that term.

I have read that the 301 is more popular [than 360] in what is sometimes called "eastern Europe". Maybe the topic has been discussed in Russian or Ukrainian somewhere.
