Calibre doesn't recognize my PRS-600 in Windows 7
Hello,
I own a PRS-600 and an Acer Aspire 5020 with windows XP and I have calibre installed and works flawlessly. I bought a new computer, a HP Envy 15 with i7 and 6mb of ram and Windows7 64b. I installed calibre (7.1) processed some files (it works with all the processor threads! great! ![]() But when I connect my PRS-600, it is not recognized... ![]() I went back to the old computer and it worked fine. (It takes ages to synchronize several files to the e-reader, but it works) I checked everything I found in the net, ![]() I debugged the connected devices and says none present. Then I installed the sony drivers (just in case) and its software works in w7 and connects to my e-book, since I don't like how it works, I uninstalled it completely (with reboot) and tried calibre again, but it does not work. Anybody has any idea? can I do something to make it detected? ![]() Please, I want to give away my old machine, but I must keep it for the ebook. ![]() Thanks in advance ![]() |

To help, unplug your device, start calibre, go to preferences, advanced, and press debug device detection. Capture the output somewhere. Now plug in the device, then press debug device detection again. Capture that output, too. Post both of them.

I did, but it doesn't work.
In fact, I turned off all the plug-ins but the Sony, and the device debug output is: Version: 0.7.1 USB devices on system: [u'usb\\root_hub20&vid8086&pid3b34&rev0005', u'usb\\vid_04f2&pid_b16c&rev_2420', u'usb\\vid_04f2&pid_b16c&rev_2420&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_054c&pid_031e&rev_031a', u'usb\\vid_0d62&pid_a100&rev_0300', u'usb\\vid_8087&pid_0020&rev_0000'] Drives detected: (0) H:\ ~ \\?\STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_SONY&PROD_ PRS-600&REV_1.00#0800461000D35738&0#{53F56307-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B}#{53F5630D-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B} (2) J:\ ~ \\?\STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_SONY&PROD_ PRS-600_SD&REV_1.00#0800461000D35738&2#{53F56307-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B}#{53F5630D-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B} (3) K:\ ~ \\?\STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_SONY&PROD_ PRS-600_LAUNCHER&REV_1.00#0800461000D35738&3#{53F56307-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B}#{53F5630D-B6BF-11D0-94F2-00A0C91EFB8B} Looking for ELONEX Looking for PRS505 Devices possibly connected: None Thanks for answering. |

Some one got it right in W7?
I did everything I could, and a couple of times it recognized my prs-600, but a few seconds later I get:
