0.7.1 Cover Browser FIX?

In prior versions, I could have a wide 30 book coverflow view in Cover Browser. Updated to version 0.7.1 and for the first time the Cover Browser window is on the right hand side. Now its vertical and displays 4 books at a time.

Does anyone know if it is possible to move the Cover Browser back along the bottom of the screen? It made so much more sense before.

Calibre is awesome. Thanks for the recent updates.

That's a bug, will be fixed in next release.

I was hoping this was a feature it looks so much better off to the side.

That depends on your monitor size, if you have a widescreen, it looks better on the side. I'm planning to make it use the side layout automatically if you have a widescreen and the vertical layout otherwise.

Good point, I do have a wide monitor.

One question, as you scroll in the book list the book details window and the cover browser update accordingly, but not the other way around.

That is to say I could scroll through the cover browser 200 books but when I decided to view or edit a book the books viewed in the book window aren't current (the selection scrolled right off of the window).

Thanks for looking into it. If possible, I'd prefer the option to move the cover browser to the bottom of the screen even on a wide-screen monitor. I like being able to have a very wide coverflow-like view. I spend a lot of time on getting the right covers for each book, which looks great in cover browser.

Calibre and Stanza are completely changing the way I use ebooks. Great work.

0.7.2 will allow you to adjust the size of the cover browser, just like you do for the rest of the GUI sections

Just installed 0.7.2, is it possible to get the cover browser across the bottom of the screen (where the book details are now)? This would allow me to view about 30-40 books across the bottom - much more like scanning a bookshelf than any other view.

If you want to use the cover browser as the main browsing mode, you are better off making it a stand alone window, via Preferences->Interface

Thanks, yes, that is an option. I just prefer the overall window layout before 0.7.1. Cheers, thanks for the help.

Btw, looks like some of the functions from the menu and contextual menus seem to have broke in 0.7.2. (edit metadata - individually) and (open in explorer) seem to no longer work.

Already noted and fixed in the next release (0.7.3)
