Multiple Calibre Libraries on Mac OS X

I have a fairly large ebook collection (12,000 plus books) stored in Calibre. I am planning to use "DropBox" and "Calibre2opds" to get access to these through Stanza on my iPhone, but the library size is larger than the 2Gb allowance on DropBox.

I'd love to be able to split my collection into two libraries ie: "A-K" and "L-Z" which could then be loaded up into separate DropBox accounts. I've searched the forums but have been unable to find easy to follow advice on how to run Calibre with two different libraries on a Mac - only command prompt instructions for Windows. Any help with this would be appreciated - I am pretty primitive when it comes to using Terminal and scripts etc on a Mac. |

That's Awesome. Thanks Kovid. Worked great.

The terminal window displays: link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! link hasn't been detected! but it still seems to work okay. Hope this isn't anything to worry about? |

That message is perfectly normal - it is just a warning that no reader device has been detected as currently plugged in.

That would not work if you are accessing Calibre remotely.
