Pricing of Laura Bush's new book
Just got an email from Kobo's ereading newsletter trying to sell me Spoken from the Heart, (Simon & Schuster). They want $16.49 for the e book. The hard cover book at Borders is $18.00. That e book price is ridiculous.

from the publisher = $14.99

...of course if you go by the publisher the HC is $30. They don't seem to get that pretty much no one sells a HC for list price and folks don't care what the list on the HC is they care what the street price is.


Some of the other new releases (not sure if they were from Simon & Schuster) have started out around this price and after a week or two dropped in price. Hard to say if this one will too or not.

Although I own a Kobo reader, I never intended to buy ebooks from Kobo. Most of there ebooks have prices way higher than other competitors.
