Here you can find the latest buggins modified lbook firmware the link is updated from the forum with every release so if you you like latest and the greatest you can get it from there.

The site is in russian so I would recommend using chrome with the translator on.
Damn I love chrome its speed and the auto translation is amazing.

A new update just arrived there today, and also a new toolkit for anyyone who would like to be able to disassemble, modify, and reassemble the firmware.

Just what it says on the site.

FWIW, I am using it and I did not see any change in the features important to me. Oh yes, and there is an already reported bug that is keeping ADE from working in this latest test firmware. As far as I am concerned, the best one right now is the 20200505 version. I just keep trying the latest one because I like to see how the work toward a final release is progressing.

New Buggins firmware update

I just tried this new firmware update from Buggins for the 6" Hanlin V3 and it seems to be working really well. From my perspective EPUB now looks as good as FB2 on my reader, and CoolReader can be selected as the EPUB reader by simply a long press on the number key for the book selection.

Does anybody know how you can make CoolReader the default reader for ePUB, i.e. without long pressing the number key?

Hmmmmmmm, V3update-20100603.zip is working very nearly flawlessly here.

My only problem is that I can not get CoolReader to use my epub.css file, but it handles the CSS that is in my EPUB books correctly so I don't have much to complain about on that score.

It is perfectly possible. I reformatted the SD-card, and I still get a freeze, this time trying to exit from a PDF in ADE, with another firmware (Russian one from 2010-05-05).
I may need yet another SD-card. They seem to have short lives: 2 of the 3 I used do not work anymore in my reader. Never had this problem with my Canon camera, though.
