jetBook cannot open any book!
I have had the jetBook for a year now and have had no major problems. All of the sudden, I recharged and now cannot open ANY books. I browse the memory or SD card through folders/books, select a book - but after a second or two it goes directly back to the menu page. The first few times the device gave the "hourglass" and I had to reset. Now it just goes back directly to the menu rather than opening the book.
I removed the SD card - same result. I am using firmware v0.30e (rev 12) - I've never upgraded the firmware. Perhaps it would be a good thing to upgrade to 0.33g at this time? Anyone ever had this problem? Do you think that upgrading might help? Thanks for any asisstance! --maybe it's on strike like the rest of Greece??? ![]() |

Haha, i think maybe a firmware update would help out. If not hopefully it is still within the one year warranty.
My friend doped his and cracked the screen, they gave him some credit for the broken one so worst case scenario you can probably do this. |

It worked!
I don't know what triggered it, but at least I have upgraded the firmware to .33g and my books are opening fine!
Considering the ease and speed (<10 minutes) in which I "troubleshooted" and fixed/upgraded the device, I'd say it is a rugged little thing ![]() |
