Is it a tiny little ebook?

Today, my 9yo saw my checkbook sitting out on the table. He said "whatʻs this? Is it a tiny little ebook?"

Obviously, heʻs a modern kind of kid. And I obviously rarely use my checkbook (really, mostly just for rent). And heʻs almost as big of a reader as me (in fact, right now, heʻs just sitting on the pot, reading away).

Yeah I was wondering about 9 y.o's smoking pot. I mean we have medical marijuana here in CO but....man....

I don't use my checkbooks (3) often, either. I pay my house payment and the utilities by check (just to make them work for the payment). I have to keep the checkbook in my purse just to show students as many have no idea what a check or checkbook is when they come across it in their reading.

When I show them and explain how it works, many tell me THEIR parents use the "money" card as it always has money in it.
