Nero Wolfe Titles Available For Pre-Order

Some of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe titles (and some non-Wolfe titles) are now available for pre-order (4/28 delivery date promised) for $9.99 - pretty pricey for books this old. But a welcome addition from the classic mystery back list.

Now - if Amazon could get the Perry Mason titles on board!

[Note - I didn't check for geographical restrictions - please add a post if you encounter them.]

I cannot find any Nero Wolfe books on Amazon. There are Rex Strout books, but not Nero Wolfe. Do you have the url?

Try searching for "Triple Jeopardy" in the Kindle Store. That's a Nero Wolfe book.

I bought four Wolfe books from Amazon in July of 2008. Three weeks later they were gone from the store, apparently Rosetta Books didn’t really have the rights to them. They were more reasonably priced than these new listings, though. Fortunately, they didn’t get pulled from my Kindle account.

The Wolfe books are among the few that I can reread every 5-10 years.

Now if we could get John Dickson Carr and Ellery Queen on the Kindle (or ePub).

Rex Stout's Under the Andes has been available for at a least year. But it's a truly terrible book. It's probably something he wrote before he got the hang of writing, and was published only after he became popular. I bet he regrets ever letting it see the light of day.

But I'll certainly look out for his more recent works.

I'm hoping for Erle Stanley Gardner to appear next.

Under the Andes was published in 1914. It was the second book Stout had published. It was certainly written while he was learning the craft.

I am hoping that I'll be able to get all the Rex Stout ebooks eventually to replace my pbook collection. He is an author that I re-read often as I get a kick out the language and enjoy the characters.

Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe and Erle Stanley Gardner's Perry Mason ... I'm in! But please! Reasonable pricing for works, many of which, are much older than I am! None of this $10 funny business please! $4.99 or less per title and what about an Omnibus or two!

Updated: Barring that, release them anyway and I'll borrow them from the library!
