I don't know that this qualifies as a deal or a freebie but Kobo is currently running a contest open to everyone in the US and Canada (except Quebec):

Yeah. It's a darned shame that Canadian contests almost always exclude Quebec. You guys need to get those Quebec lottery laws repealed.

It would most likely require the launching of a new 4-year 12 million dollar study just to decide whether they should make any modifications to the current laws.

It would probably be easier if I just purchase a new Kobo Reader instead.
