Hi,
Nice and a step in again another world now i own my first ereader, an Onyx Boox 60.

I love and hate it. Love it because of the nice reading of books I found everywhere and bring all kind of surprises. Hate it because in one way or the other its a kind of stupid, nearly back to the seventies-computer. The black and white screen, the slowliness, the limited posibilities to go on the internet etc.
What really disappoints me is the grey background of the screen. I am so used tot real black on white and now it looks as if I am reading rom some kind of cheaprecycling paper. But on th other hand it's great to read on a computer in the full sun with no glare, not looking at yourself, but really can read. Now summer enters slowly I am looking forward to using it more and more.

BTW I choose the Boox especially for the internet-possibilities and the open software hoping that a lot of applications are coming up. I didn't find my much and nothing really interesting. Somebody ideas, tips?

Eink does take a little getting used to, Valdespoir. The general feeling, though, is that it's easier on the eyes than backlit screens. I'd advise you to stick with it for a while before making up your mind. There's a thread running here (iPad V Eink) that might interest you. Good to have your company. Best wishes. Neil

Neilmarr, thank you for your nice welcome. I have no time now, but I shure will look up the thread you mentioned, although I know already that reading something in the sun on an iPad will be a bigger disappointment.

I couldn't help myself Having a glance of your website and I was happily surprised (WOW! (in Dutch...)) when your homepage emerged. Great. I am a Dutchmen so I prefer to read Dutch, but I'll shure have a look a your catalogue soon, all looks very well-cared-for. Wonderful in this fast world.
