Hail & well met fellow MobileRead members I am not new to the ebook concept - I had a Dell Axim x51 at one time and loved reading on a small device!! However, it died and I bought a Zune HD, thinking it would surely have an app for reading ebooks, which it did *not*, so I sold it and am now looking for a nice, inexpensive ebook reader. Hence, my membership here. I am hoping for some expert advice from you lovely people!! I believe I have it narrowed between the ViewSonic ereader and the Astak Mentor 6". I read in another thread that it was to have wifi at one point. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I don't see any reference to it having that capability in any of the descriptions I've read online, however, I did read (old tech review from 2008) that it was to have the capability. Anyway, if there is anyone who can assist me with choosing the best inexpensive reader, I would so appreciate your help!!

It really does depend on your expectations and what you want to read - why not check out the Flea Market, there's a Jetbook lite on there for $60 at the moment. It's not epaper but it might suit to get you started.
