Dear All:

Alright, we are making progress on being interactive on our new eBook Store.

Announcing our Facebook and Twitter accounts as a source of discussion, reviews, and updated information? The eBook Specialist wants to start interacting with as many people as possible now that EZRead.com is finally up and running! The "Renegade Intern" does fabulous eBook Reviews and will respond one-on-one!!

The Facebook can change its name to just facebook.com/ezreadbookstore when we get 25 fans! For example, this weekend we will be at the Los Angeles Book Festival on the UCLA campus. You can get up-to-dates when you sign up!!

The Forum on EZread.com is also coming and we hope that will be up later this week.

Ok, so maybe this is a dumb question... but is 'liking' the same as becoming a fan?

I was wierded out by this too, but facebook just changed becoming a fan to 'liking' something today. It is the same thing!

The site is dysfunctional

I log in using the ID from MyEZread and I get a "Successful" screen.

I then try "My Account" to see if they have fixed the (Ingram source) book I PAIF FOR and can not download.

I Get the Message that I must log in, and I am kicked back to the Logon screen.

Are there 2 DIFFERENT sites now???? (getting annoyed that the simple problem has not been resolved in a weeks time)

You can log in to www.MyEZread.com or www.EZread.com. Same site. Both take you to the same place.

I am copying your entire post to the eBook Specialist to get this done for you!! I am annoyed also at us and will get to the bottom of this. I hate stupidity when people buy and then cannot get the download to work for them.

#1 I got an answer a short time after the post that says a refund was done (has not hit my bank yet).
I really would have liked the book

#2 EZread does NOT allow me to go to "My Account" like MyEZread does. Something is broken if these truly are the same site, just 2 doors into it.

Definatly get it working solid before going live fully.
If I had not known that the site was Beta, I would never come back based upon the number and time these issues have consumed.
(I am not a big fan of Amazon's web site (to pushy

for me), but it works.)

It was NOT a beta test. The webmaster thought all was fine except for a list of 14 changes recommended by MobileRead Forum members he was to use to improve.

Yes, Amazon does work. But, I would be willing to bet that they also had their start-up glitches. As I hope you can imagine, opening an eBook Store from scratch in about 3 weeks is a daunting task. I cannot say why yet... but it was essential to Astak to get it up and working quickly. A lot was, and is, riding on this.

In the last 3-4 weeks we have gone from no staff and no knowledge and no lay-out and no functionality to what is a pretty decent site. Prices are good and there are a lot of fine choices. Almost everything has been made right and we have made on-the-fly changes. We have screened and hired people for this and we have steadfastly moved to be interactive. The Facebook & Twitter links started today for book reviews, problems, announcements and more. We should have the FORUM up and working this week still. This weekend we go to Los Angeles for a book fair to get independent authors onto our store. Basically, we are working 7 days a week on this.

I agree that bugs are a pain in the butt and I do not blame your frustration even a little! But... the milestones are being reached and we are reacting to both compliments and criticism openly.

I will immediately check on "my account" if you use www.EZread.com. It was bad over the weekend but was supposed to be completely working today!!
