disable logo at bootup
hi there, i want to disable splash logo and a progress bar as i'd like to view the boot progress. i tried to comment out some lines in /etc/init.d/rcS and /etc/default/esplash, and all i managed to do was just to disable them, but i could'n get the boot process shown on the screen during boot
any ideas? |

VT consoles are disabled in kernel in order to save some space: stupid chinese bootloader can't load kernels bigger than 1Mb and our kernel is dangerously close.

Hmmm...could you go to a 2-stage booting process in which the built-in bootloader boots a secondary loader that has only just enough smarts to start the 'real' kernel from, say, internal flash? Something like the live version does from SD card, in a sense?
