Calibre (0.6.29) not recognizing PRS-500
PRS has old firmware (no epub upgrade)

I debugged the Device detection and this was the output:

Device possibly connected: PRS-500 Device Interface
Trying to open device... failed
Opening of the following devices failed

Error: Could not find libusb.


I googled libusb and it appears to be some sort of open source USB drivers but i figured i would ask here just in case i am missing something stupid

Libusb is 32-bit only.

yes that's why calibre only supports un-upgraded PRS 500s on 32 bit windows only.
