Nate the Great and Target???

Ok, So, I am sure the chosen ones at MR will berate me for this....but...

Why should Nate the "Great" have a posting in the main MR page about a rumor of delivery of an ebook reader to a story named Target that 94% of the world does not know even exists as a company?

am I missing something here?. I realize Nate is one of the Chosen ones like Pilot Bob and others that are "PART" of MR here.... Moving the Goal Posts for the "MR" Moderators and such.... but really... Perhaps moderation of the main MR page is in order at times.... Why not some "Main" Postings in French or German for a change.. There are quite a few users who speak those languages that contribute to MR.

P.S. have been to Target many times but not seem many Targets in Moscow, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Novosibirsk or Gdansk..... But maybe I was not looking too hard.

Target is the second largest U.S. retailer and has a big presence in Australia, too. I can understand wanting to ensure we're an international forum. I'm often puzzled why we seem to have so few members from Asia here. But I think your concern in this one instance is off base, hidari.

Well, don't go away, hidari! I think your overall comment is a good one, if the single example you gave is not a particularly strong one. I, too, would like to see more multilingual posts on the front page and more posts about ebook reading in more parts of the world than "the West".

This expat-idiot is still here, yet , it is 0146 and a wee bit tired. I agree Target is big in "certain" markets. I just find some of the postings here interesting to say the least.

I am sure the pro-MR experts will chime in and tell me I am an idiot for posting and that the North American Market is the keystone to the world market etc.... well. Thanx in advance for your enlightenment....

FYI: There are plans to redo the front page and provide for different pages for language other than English.

I don't have a problem with non-English posts going on the front page... but since I am an American and can barely speak and write English I am unable to find or post stories in other languages.

Yes. The Chosen ones run the site. You, HarryT, Alex, The Doc, Nate, Zelda and any others that I am not aware of.... Keep up the good work.
