Where to get Sudoku for PB 301+ ??

Hi all,

I just received the PB 301+ that I ordered for my wife, who is a Sudoku fiend. Regrettably the unit out of the box was devoid of applications or pre-loaded ebooks. Sudoku, among other applications, is listed on the box, so I imagine it's available somewhere.

That being said, does anyone know where I can download the PB version of Sudoku? I checked on the PB Sourceforge site, but I couldn't find the program there.

OK. It's strange that you received the reader with no pre-installed books and apps. Where are you located - US/Canada or EU?

Now, try re-formatting your internal memory. Steps:
- connect the device to the power source;
- turn it off;
- press the "Trash Bin" button on the left (it is the lowest form the left side) and hold it pressed;
- press the "Power" button and release it, as if you were turning the reader on
- keep holding the "trash bin" button pressed until you see the words "... flash-memory is being reformatted, please wait about 10 minutes.."
- now you can release that button and wait for about 10 minutes.

Of course, all your books have to be backed-up before you do this procedure.

Tell us if you have the apps and books appear.

I'm in Canada. I reformatted internal memory per your instructions (thanks for that) and did indeed get the applications + books back. To my surprise, however, when I first restarted after the formatting, everything was in German and most of the ebooks are German! I changed the language settings to English, so that's not a big deal.

Prior to my reformatting internal memory I did upgrade the firmware to 15.1. I notice that I'm still at 15.1 after the reformat, which is good.

Is there any other way for me to obtain the original books shipped on North American units?

Looking into this more, it's probably because of the firmware file that I used that everything appeared in german. In the about device screen, the software version is listed as D301.15.1. Am I correct in assuming that 'D' corresponds to German?

In any event, I would be appreciative if I could get a hold of the original English content (including the PDF manual in English) for the unit.

Well, to test my theory I down-flashed back to 14.2 and then reformatted the internal memory. Everything still came up German upon first reboot. No big deal, I found the English books on the Pocketbook website and installed them without trouble.

Thank you so much for posting this. I just got my 360 today and somehow managed to delete sudoku and the other apps within the first five minutes of using it (oops). Everything's back to normal now
