What's with all the ads from user 'Enthusiast?

You are patiently scrolling down a discussion and then there is one with no text but just an ad in it - I'm sure this didn't happen before. I guess at least they are for legit companies and not dodgt Viagra links, as I have seen spammed to fora before but am I imagining it, or is it new?

If you find one of these then please report the post. Just click on the little exclamation mark [!] next to the poster's karma button. Then us moderators can take action.

The person has probably replaced inocuous messages with spam. I'm afraid that the spammers are getting more cunning these days. We're very grateful when it's reported, so that we can keep the forum tidy.

actually i think these are standard forum ads which have been reintegrated ; you can't see them when you are logged in, but i logged out to check and they appear on every page. suecsi, if they annoy you, just stay logged-in while you're browsing, then you won't see them at all. you're right they are new ; Alex had disactivated them for a while because they were causing technical problems (i can't remember what exactly).
