Pagebreaks for RTF to mobi question

Heya everyone. I'm trying to figure out how to make calibre convert a series of RTF files that I have inserted pagebreaks in. When I convert the file, it doesn't do the pagebreak that was in the rtf. Also note that it is not in html format.

I did a series of searches on this forum but they're extremely confusing and seem to require the documents to be preformatted in html. is it possible for someone to post a step by step for dummies? Thank you

p.s. if this has already been done, may I please get the link to the instructions?
