ASUS DR-900: Looks intriguing

I did a quick search of the forums to see if this device is being discussed already but my search-fu can be weak at times so apologies if this is old info:

http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/02/a...ader-official/

There's not a lot of in-depth information in the posting; just a single photo and some specs:
  • WiFi connectivity augmented with a 3G option
  • Battery life: 10,000 pages on a single charge
  • 1024x768 SiPix touch screen
  • 4GB of integrated storage
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Support for PDF, TXT, MP3 and ePUB files.

Assuming the price is right, this could be an interesting reader to keep an eye on.

Truly it seems interesting. For some months now i'm searching almost every day for news, release day etc. but nothing. I hope this will come out soon.
I just can't stand to read my comics and pdf's on my Sony touch edition. The 6'' is just tooo small!!

The Asus DR-950 has been discussed on a number of occasions. It seems to be the same unit more or less.

did anyone actually take a picture? there appears to be only that one render anywhere to look at.

edit:

more pics I found from tracking down the press release. these seem to be just the same ones from the twitter leak a little while ago. so no pics taken by press yet.

I have just seen the device. The screen looks perfectly. It has (finger)touch and doesn't suffer for it. Also, it didn't flash black/white when going to the next page.
