Hi there!
This is my last hope - maybe someone could help me: My Kindle DX (international) is bricked as the framework can't start anymore. I startet the script "start.sh" from ssh - then it get bricked. I found out, that the java-machine (cvm) gives the error, that some Classes could not be found. E.g. at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.j ava:212) or at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.findClass(Launche r.java:594) ...and some more. The framework always exits without starting finished. After this I also tried to execute "/usr/sbin/factory_reset" - but it was not restored as I hoped. At the end of this terrible game it shows "Your Kindle needs repair" and powers off. PLEASE, PLEASE ![]() THX much in advance Josh Last edited by Netroman; 02-11-2010 at 01:43 PM. |

Java Problem disappeared
Well folks!
Now I could figure out the following: If I start the Kindle DXi at Runlevel "S" and as the second step change to runlevel "2" it starts normal!!!! You must know that Kindle starts with default runlevel "2" and then changes to runlevel "4" or in case of update continues with runlevel "3". But now my second Problem: If I set the default runlevel (/etc/inittab) to "2" it can't start the framework. Also there with USB connected to PC I can see a drive - without a volume name (should be "kindle") and no access from PC. I'm just searching for the solution... Best regards Josh |
